Police lay 169 charges after rash of west end car thefts

Toronto police have arrested four people and laid 169 charges after a rash of vehicle break-ins in the city’s west end.
Police have been investigating reports of thefts from autos since August.
They have occurred in residential areas bounded by the Humber River, Eglinton Avenue West, Kipling Avenue and Bloor Street West.
Police say over 100 vehicles were broken into with a variety of items snagged.
Wesley Taylor, 22, Jeaneva Stewart, 37, Gordon Stewart, 36, and Ryan Teek, 34, all of Toronto, are facing a slew of theft-related charges.
