Swarovski Crystal Wish Tree unveiled at Eaton Centre

The radiant Swarovski Crystal Wish Tree is lighting the Toronto Eaton Centre for a seventh year.

Celebrations began at 5:15 p.m. with some beautiful voices from the High Park Choirs of Toronto. Then, Toronto’s R&B artist Deborah Cox and Breakfast Television’s Dina Pugliese and Kevin Frankish hosted the ceremony as the tree was unveiled at 6 p.m. Cox recently performed for U.S. first lady Michelle Obama.

This year’s tree will glow a bit brighter with more than 44,000 crystal ornaments — the largest amount in the tree’s history.

The event supports the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada and donates $100,000 a year to the cause. Overall, the event has raised more than $750,000 for children and families across Canada.
