The Ministry of Labour is investigating after a man was killed in North York on Wednesday morning.
Toronto police say the man was hit and dragged by a tractor-trailer in a parking lot on Marmora Street, near Highway 400 and Highway 401, around 12:20 a.m.
The 69-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the victim was a Fiera Foods employee, but the company said he was not.
The victim was walking through the parking lot while a 42-year-old man was backing up the tractor-trailer. He was hit at the rear passenger side of the trailer and knocked to the ground.
His name has not been released.
