Citytv hosting New Year’s Eve family fun day

While more than 40,000 people are expected to pack Nathan Phillips Square for Citytv’s New Year’s Eve bash, families are also expected to gather for a day of fun at Yonge-Dundas Square all day Saturday.
Citytv is also hosting a free family fun day that runs through until 8 p.m.
CityNews weather specialist Sangita Patel is hosting the event where kids and parents can expect music, food, games and giveaways, including a new car.
If families aren’t too tuckered out after the day of fun, they can head over to Nathan Phillips Square for the biggest party of year, which kicks off at 10 p.m.
There are two stages ready for the big show that will host seven acts, including Karl Wolf, Backstreet Boy Howie D, Neverest and the cast of the musical American Idiot.
For those who can’t make it downtown, the party will be broadcast live on Citytv, Citytv.com and the Citytv App for iPad and iPhone.
You can also tune into Kiss 92.5 for the live simulcast.
