Marlies, Bulldogs to face off in AHL outdoor classic Saturday

The Toronto Marlies and the Hamilton Bulldogs are preparing to face off in the AHL outdoor classic Saturday.
“It’s going to be fun,” Marlies forward Jerry D’Amigo told CityNews.
“I’m pumped for it and I’m sure a lot of the guys are as well. This is my first and I’m going to make the most of it.”
On Thursday, players were practicing at Ivor Wynne Stadium – and they’re not all used to the outdoor surface. Jesse Blacker took a spill while standing still (check out the tumble in the video).
“It’s going to be a special day,” Marlies coach Dallas Eakins said.
The game starts at 1 p.m. and coverage will begin at 12:30 p.m. on SportsNet.
