A student was found dead in a Carleton University residence on Saturday, the school said in a short statement.
Ottawa police are investigating, but no foul play is suspected.
“As a caring community, we are all deeply affected by the loss of one of our members, and we rally together to give support and solace. Our thoughts and prayers are with the student’s family and friends,” provost Peter Ricketts said in a statement.
The university won’t be releasing more details about the student, spokesperson Beth Gorham told CityNews.ca
Counsellors and the university chaplain will be available to students in residence and off-campus, she said.
