No Name Club Pack Beef Steakettes recalled

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and New Flood Classics are warning the public not to eat certain No Name Club Pack Beef Steakettes as they may be contaminated with E. coli bacteria.

The 2.27-kilogram package with UPC code 0 60383 01321 9 and lot numbers BB 2012 AL 10 EST 761 have been recalled.
         
They were distributed by Loblaw Companies Ltd. to the following Ontario stores:

Cash&Carry/RCWC Ontario Corporate, Extra Foods, Freshmart, Loblaws Great Food, No Frills, RCWC West Corporate, Real Canadian Superstore, Valumart, Your Independent Grocer, Zehrs and Zehrs Great Food.

There has been one reported illness associated with the product.

Food contaminated with E. coli may not look or smell spoiled, but consumption of food contaminated by the bacteria may lead to serious illness.
