George Clooney is out of jail after he was arrested Friday morning during a protest outside the Sudanese Embassy in Washington.
Clooney, who was detained with his father Nick, was at the embassy to bring awareness to alleged war crimes in South Sudan.
The actor met with U.S. President Barack Obama on Thursday to discuss his concerns.
Clooney and other activists blame the Sudanese government for attacks there that have injured and killed civilians.
He has been charged with disorderly crossing of a police line.
If convicted, he may have to pay a small fine.
Clooney told reporters it was his first arrest.
