Queen reopens after glass falls from downtown building

A section of Queen Street West has reopened after falling glass fell from the 16th floor of a downtown building.

The street between Simcoe and St. Patrick was closed Monday for about five hours until 5 p.m. after  glass fell from 180 Queen St. W.

No one was injured in the incident, and streetcar service was not affected.

It was the second time in two days that glass has fallen from a building. On Saturday, police closed the intersection of Bay and Adelaide streets after a sheet of glass fell from the Trump International Hotel & Tower. No one was hurt in that incident.
