OPP cruiser involved in Brampton crash

One person is under arrest after a multi-vehicle crash involving an Ontario Provincial Police cruiser in Brampton Sunday morning.
It happened around 11 a.m. at Steeles and McMurchy avenues, near Hurontario Street.
OPP Sgt. Dave Woodford tells CityNews that one person has been arrested for driving under the influence of drugs, and charges are pending.
No one was injured in the collision.
Reports surfaced there may have been a police chase before the collision.
Woodford also confirmed the Special Investigations Unit will not be called upon in this case.
The arm’s length agency is called into investigate in cases involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
