Man gets jail time for threatening TTC worker

A man has been jailed for a second time in two months for threatening to kill a TTC employee , the commission says.

Last week, Ryan Boyle, 26, pleaded guilty to threatening a TTC employee on March 26 at the Victoria Park subway station. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail and two years of probation.

Boyle already served 20 days in custody for another incident in February at the Broadview station.

As part of his probation, Boyle isn’t allowed on TTC vehicles or property while under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs.

On average, two TTC employees are assaulted daily, whether it’s verbally or physically, the TTC says.
