Man seriously hurt in 401 crash

A 27-year-old man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on Highway 401 Tuesday morning.

The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on the westbound express lanes of the 401 near Keele Street.

The victim was ejected from his vehicle after he hit the guardrail. Police confirm he wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

He was taken to Sunnybrook with multiple leg fractures.

The crash closed a section of the highway for about two hours.
