‘30 Rock’ live show airs Thursday night

The second-ever 30 Rock live show will air Thursday night – but how will the stars top last season’s performance?

Actor Alec Baldwin first spilled the beans that a live episode was in the works in a March interview with Extra.  NBC brass confirmed the news, but few details of the show have been released.

Former staff writer Donald Glover, who now appears on Community, is expected to make a brief appearance as a younger version of Tracy Morgan’s character Tracy Jordan.

Beyond that, audiences will have to wait to see what actress and show creator Tina Fey has in store.

The first live episode went to air on Oct. 14, 2010, drawing 6.7 million viewers – one of the highest-rated episodes in the show’s history.

The cast performed the show twice, once for the East Coast and again for the West Coast.

Co-star Jane Krakowski sang the theme song for one version, while guest star Cheyenne Jackson took the
reins for the West Coast show.

Matt Damon, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and Jon Hamm also appeared.
