Mayor drops to 310 pounds at Monday weigh-in

The mayor weighs 310 pounds, down two pounds from his last weigh-in two weeks ago.

Rob Ford and his brother are on a six-month weight-loss challenge to each lose 50 pounds by June 18.

As part of the challenge, cutthewaist.com was launched by the city to encourage Toronto residents to participate and share their dieting stories as well.

Since the mayor began the weight-loss challenge in January, he has lost 20 pounds. He was originally 330 pounds. But he’s been having challenges shedding the pounds, gaining a couple of pounds in recent weeks, and missing three weekly weigh-ins since mid-March.

The weigh-in for Ford’s brother wasn’t immediately available on Monday. At Doug Ford’s last weigh-in April 16, he was 249 pounds, which was relatively unchanged from the previous weigh-in.

He is down 26 pounds from his 275 pounds at the start of the diet.
