Man falls to his death from Scarborough Bluffs

Police are investigating how and why a man fell to his death from the Scarborough Bluffs on Monday morning.

The 24-year-old victim’s body was pulled from Lake Ontario around 2 a.m., about half an hour after he fell.

The man had been with a group of friends around a bonfire at the top of the bluffs at Cecil Crescent, near Midland Avenue and Kingston Road, when the fatal fall happened. The man plunged approximately 60 metres.

While police are investigating the incident, authorities don’t consider the death to be suspicious.
