John Travolta sexual battery case could be headed to trial

It looks like at least one of John Travolta’s accusers may have his day in court.

John Doe No. 2, the second masseur to sue Travolta for sexual assault, is prepared to take his case to trial. But given the sensitive nature of the charges, his attorney, Okorie Okorocha, wants the courtroom to be completely closed.

“I want a full trial with a private judge,” Okorocha tells People magazine. “There is no mediation. There’ll never be a settlement. I want privacy for sex-crime victims.”

Adds the lawyer: “It looks like [Travolta’s attorney Marty] Singer wants one hell of a fight, and that is what he’ll get from me.”

John Doe No. 2 claims that the 58-year-old Pulp Fiction actor tried to aggressively coerce him into sex during a private massage at an Atlanta hotel, and when the masseur refused, masturbated in front of him.

He initially joined a lawsuit filed by another masseur, known as John Doe No. 1, who claims that he had a nearly identical experience while giving Travolta a massage in Beverly Hills. However, it appears that the two John Does are now pursuing their legal cases separately.

John Doe No. 1 and Okorocha parted ways after Travolta’s camp released evidence to prove that the actor was on the opposite coast during the day of the alleged incident. (Okorocha claimed that he vetted John Doe No. 1’s story, and the incorrect date was filed in the lawsuit by mistake.)

“On paper I’m still representing him,” Okorocha told the NY Daily News of John Doe No. 1. “I may end up trying to resolve this for him.”

Meanwhile, two other men have publicly come forward to accuse Travolta of similar behavior. A Chilean cruise worker named Fabian Zanzi says that Travolta offered to pay him for sex during a Royal Caribbean cruise in 2009. And Michael Caputo, a masseur who worked for New York City’s Peninsula Hotel from 1992 to 2008, claims that the actor was once banned from the hotel spa for his shenanigans.

Okorocha claims that more than 100 men have contacted him with tales of being harassed by Travolta.

Travolta’s lawyer, Marty Singer, has repeatedly said that all the accusations are lies, and has threatened to file a malicious prosecution lawsuit against Okorocha.
