Airport worker dies after accident at Pearson

A ground-crew worker has died after an accident at Pearson International Airport on Thursday night.

Peel Regional Police confirmed to CityNews that the victim, a 48-year-old Mississauga man who was a ground-crew worker for Swissport International, has died of his injuries.

The accident happened just after 8:30 p.m. when the victim got caught between a baggage loader and an aircraft.
