Vaughan Mills is going to be home to the first Legoland in Canada.
The $12-million Legoland Discovery Centre will open in spring 2013 with construction on the 34,000 square-foot facility starting in summer 2012.
The company said it will be a highly interactive and educational experience aimed at children between the ages of three and 10.
There will also be a 4D cinema, Lego rides and special party rooms.
Operator Merlin Entertainments Group said every Legoland is different, reflecting the iconic buildings and skyline of the community.
Merlin has 14 attractions in North America, including Legoland Discovery Centres in Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta, as well as Legoland theme parks in California and Florida.
