Man accused of taking up-skirt photos & videos in subway station

A 35-year-old Tottenham man has been charged for allegedly taking pictures up women’s skirts at a midtown subway station this week.

Police allege the suspect followed women at Eglinton station and recorded videos and took pictures by reaching under their skirts with his cellphone. Officers with Toronto Police’s transit patrol unit received the complaints and investigators believe there may be more alleged victims.

Eugene Couto is charged with voyeurism and appeared in court Wednesday morning.

He was released on $2000 bail to his wife. His bail conditions include not riding on TTC vehicles, and not having electronic devices.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (416) 808-5304 or Crime Stoppers at (416) 222-TIPS.
