About 5,000 motorcyclists gathered at the Canadian Forces Base Trenton on Saturday to kick off the annual Heroes Highway Ride and Rally.
The event was a ride along the Highway of Heroes to honour Canadian Forces soldiers.
It also featured a rally for non-motorcyclists.
The ride started around 11 a.m. and ended around 1 p.m. with a free rally and entertainment at Polson Pier on the Toronto waterfront.
Of the riders participating, it’s estimated at least 1,000 were military personnel.
