Tornado warnings have ended for parts of Ontario’s cottage country, but many areas of the GTA were still hit with heavy rains Wednesday night.
Environment Canada has ended tornado warnings for Port Carling, Port Severn, Parry Sound, Rosseau, Killbear Park, Huntsville and Baysville.
Parts of the GTA, including Hamilton, Caledon and Halton Peel along with the Niagara region were under thunderstorm warnings and watches, but most of those have ended. There were no alerts for Toronto.
CityNews viewers reported heavy rains in Mississauga, along with hail in Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo.

“It looks like it’s going to be a rough evening on the way,” said CityNews meteorologist Adam Stiles.
