Ronan Farrow insults father Woody Allen on Twitter

Woody Allen might be in the news for defending Lindsay Lohan’s acting talent, but there’s one person you won’t find defending him: son Ronan Farrow. The only biological child of Allen and former partner Mia Farrow, 24-year-old Ronan had a scathingly sarcastic message for his estranged dad on Father’s Day.

The context, of course, refers to Allen’s still-scandalous marriage to Soon-Yi Previn, one of Farrow’s adopted daughters with her ex, the late musician André Previn.

And Ronan — an international human rights activist and Rhodes Scholar who graduated from college at age 15 — wasn’t the only only person in the family to share the sentiment. His mother Mia, who engaged in an infamously nasty custody battle to secure sole rights over Ronan and two of his siblings who are Allen’s adopted kids, re-tweeted the post with the preface, “Boom.”

Allen, 76, whose upcoming comedy To Rome With Love hits theaters Friday, was 56 when he started his relationship with his then-step-daughter Soon-Yi (she was 21).

Despite the age difference and the controversial beginnings of their relationship (she was 8 when Allen started dating Farrow), the two married in 1997. Together Allen and his wife, 41, have two of their own adopted daughters: Bechet and Manzie (both are named after famous jazz musicians).
