2 men charged in parking lot stabbing at Yonge-Dundas Square

Two men are facing several charges after a security guard was stabbed in the back in a parking garage at Yonge-Dundas Square.

Police arrested the suspects, ages 21 and 19, shortly after the attack that happened around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

The security guard was attacked while looking into reports cars were being broken into. He was rushed to hospital with serious wounds and has since been released, reportedly with 36 staples.

Jeorge Erny, 21, is facing seven charges, including aggravated assault and possession of property obtained by crime.

Justin Squires, 19, is facing four charges, including mischief and possession of property obtained by crime.

Both were to appear in an Old City Hall court on Friday morning.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested and released without charges.
