A house in the west end was demolished Friday after renovations compromised the building’s structure earlier this week.
A crew had been working on the foundation of the home on Maria Street, near Dundas and Runnymede, on Wednesday, when it shifted and the house threatened to topple over.
Neighbouring homes have been temporarily evacuated as a precaution.
Contractors said soil conditions may have caused the slump.
