Firefighters battle east-end blaze

Toronto firefighters were sweating after extinguishing a fire in the city’s east end on Sunday afternoon.

It happened on Hunter Street, near Gerrard Street East and Jones Avenue, around 2 p.m.

The smoky two-alarm blaze was quickly put out and firefighters were seen drinking lots of water as they coped with the 30 C weather.

No injuries were reported.

There’s no word on what caused the fire.
