Lake Shore outage leaves thousands without power

A major power outage is affecting thousands of customers in the city’s south-west area.
The outage spans along Lake Shore Boulevard from Ossington Avenue to Kipling Avenue and stretches as far north as College Street in some areas.
Toronto Hydro’s website indicated that power to that area still hadn’t been restored as of 4:35 p.m.
No word on what caused the outage or how long the power will be out.
