Weekend road closures with Honda Indy, Salsa on St. Clair

Several weekend events, including the Honda Indy, Taste of Lawrence and the Salsa on St. Clair, are expected to draw tens of thousands of visitors, but road closures will cause headaches for drivers.
Here’s a look a road closures in effect this weekend:
Honda Indy
- Lake Shore Blvd. W. closed in both directions from Strachan Ave. to British Columbia Rd. until July 8 at 11:59 p.m.
- Strachan Ave. closed from Fleet St. to Lake Shore Blvd. W. to southbound-through traffic until July 8 at 11:59 p.m.
Taste of Lawrence
Lawrence Avenue East will be closed, in both directions, from Birchmount Road to Warden Avenue, starting at 10 a.m. Friday to Sunday at 11:59 p.m.
Salsa on St. Clair
St. Clair Avenue West will be closed both ways between Winona Drive and Christie Street from Saturday at 8 a.m. until Sunday at 11 p.m.
Festival of South Asia
Gerrard Street East will be closed both ways between Coxwell and Glenside avenues Saturday at 10 a.m. until Monday at 1 a.m.
