A woman died after she was hit by a vehicle in North York on Sunday night.
An SUV driver was turning left off Wilson Heights Boulevard onto Sheppard Avenue West, when he ran into the woman around 7 p.m.
Sgt. Warren Stein said she was outside of the marked pedestrian crossing at the time and speed does not appear to be a factor.
Paramedics took the woman, reportedly a 25-year-old student from Korea, to Sunnybrook hospital with life-threatening injuries. She died in hospital early Monday.
The area was closed to traffic for about four hours while police investigated.
