TTC now posting daily online service reports

The reliability of the Red Rocket is being held to account online now that the TTC is posting daily service updates on its website.

The daily customer service report grades eight items from the previous day. The commission has always kept track of this data but is now making it public under new CEO Andy Byford.

Check the report here.

The goal is for trains on the Yonge-University-Spadina, Bloor-Danforth and Sheppard lines to arrive within three minutes of schedule 96 per cent of the time. The targets are 80 per cent for the Scarborough RT, 65 per cent for buses and 70 per cent for streetcars.

The daily report also grades elevator and escalator service.

As of 8 a.m. Thursday, the TTC’s website was showing Tuesday’s results when two lines — Bloor-Danforth and the Sheppard subway — hit their targets.

Shortly after Byford took over in March, he began releasing a monthly report on TTC service.
