Springsteen concert silenced by curfew

Bruce Springsteen may call himself “The Boss,” but it appears even he isn’t in control of when his concerts end — and neither is a knight.

During a show in London’s Hyde Park on Saturday night, former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney had joined the E Street Band for a cover of “Twist and Shout.”

But concert organizers cut the power mid-song, silencing the band.

The Westminster City Council later tweeted that organizers had ended the show because it ran over curfew.

Guitarist Steven Van Zandt responded on Twitter, disagreeing with the decision.

Springsteen is known for his marathon concert sets.

A show last month in Spain went on for nearly four hours.
