A single-vehicle car crash on Saturday left a woman in police custody.

Police located a car that had allegedly been stolen from a business around 3 p.m.  Officers set up a road block on Muskoka Beach Road and other officers followed the driver.

The driver crashed into a wooded area off the shoulder of the road, eventually rolling the vehicle and ending up in the front yard of a home.

The driver then took off on foot.

Police arrested the driver a short distance from the car. She was not injured in the crash, police said.

Vikki Ann Krishko, 31, is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, flight from police, driving while disqualified, impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operation with over 80 mgs and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

On Sunday, police said a motorcyclist that was heading north on Manitoba Street attempted to pass two other motorcyclists around 10 a.m.

The driver was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control crossing a rough train crossing, police said.

He was thrown from the bike and later taken to a Toronto hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police said his motorcycle was found about 60 metres from where he left the road.

There’s no word yet on charges.
