Toronto police are investigating an alleged sex assault near Danforth and Coxwell avenues early Sunday morning.
A woman told police she was approached from behind, tackled to the ground and assaulted around 3:30 a.m.
The woman fought back, kicking and scratching her way out of the suspect’s grip.
Police said the man ran away as the woman began to scream. He was last seen running south towards Danforth.
The suspected is described as brown, approximately 22 to 28 years old, five feet seven inches to five feet nine inches tall, with short black hair and a clean-shaven face. He was wearing a yellow golf shirt and possibly blue jeans.
Police said he may have scratches on his neck from the victim.
Meanwhile, Toronto police are investigating an alleged sex assault at a downtown hotel.
A 24-year-old woman told police she was at the Hilton Hotel & Garden Inn on Peter Street, near Spadina Avenue and King Street, when she was assaulted around 1:40 a.m. on Sunday.
She did not know her attacker.
Police are looking for a man described as black, 24 to 25 years old, five feet eight inches to five feet nine inches tall, 170 to180 pounds, with a thin build. He has short black hair that is shaved at the sides and is clean-shaven.
He was wearing a salmon pink short-sleeved shirt with buttons down the front and pockets, tight blue fitting jeans with a wallet chain hanging from the left pocket, black and white runners and an earring in his left ear.
