Man hit by vehicle on Sherbourne Street

A man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a vehicle downtown Monday morning.
The pedestrian was hit around 2 a.m. on Sherbourne Street near Gerrard. According to witnesses, the man was lying on the street when the collision happened.
Police closed Sherbourne between Carlton and Gerrard streets for about five hours for the investigation. The area reopened just after 7 a.m.
