While police, politicians and community leaders struggle to find solutions to Toronto’s gun and gangs problem, a former drug dealer believes the answer is simple.
Cauldrick Maloney — a 26-year-old who has done time for drug dealing, robbery and assault — says Toronto’s Breaking the Cycle program helped him escape a life of crime.
The initiative aims to prevent young people from joining gangs and help current gang members find a way out.
