Toronto’s animal shelters celebrate World Cat Day with adoption offer

Toronto Animal Services is celebrating World Cat Day on Wednesday by offering two-for-the-price-of-one cat and kitten adoptions.

Coun. Glenn De Baeremaeker, a long-time animal advocate, launched the adoption at the city shelter on Progress Avenue.

Anyone interested in adoption, can visit any one of of the shelter locations, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (seven days a week). The locations are:

•146 The East Mall (Hwy. 427 & Dundas St. W.)
•821 Progress Ave. (Markham Rd. and Hwy. 401)
•1300 Sheppard Ave. W. (Keele St. & Sheppard Ave. W.)
•140 Princes’ Blvd. (Exhibition Place, Horse Palace)

If you’re not ready for a double dose of furriness, Animal Services officials said you can split the $75 fee plus tax with a friend or family member.
