Impaired driving charge after car slams into Markham grocery store

A man was charged with impaired driving after he crashed his car into the side of a building in Markham Monday morning.
The accident happened just after 1 a.m. on 14th Avenue near Markham Road when the driver lost control and slammed into the side of a grocery store.
There’s no word on a damage estimate, or on whether the crash caused any structural damage to the building.
The driver was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries. His name hasn’t been released.
