Man, 72, killed in QEW crash

A 72-year-old Michigan man has died after a crash on the QEW in Fort Erie, Ont., the OPP confirms.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday near Thompson Road close to the U.S. border.
Witnesses said a Jeep ran into the back of a tractor-trailer and became wedged underneath.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The QEW was closed for several hours for the investigation and clean-up.
