Stolen engagement ring returned to Toronto woman

A stolen engagement ring has been returned to a Toronto woman after police made an arrest in a string of Scarborough and East York break-ins.

Police say the accused broke into homes between June 6 and Sept. 20. All of the robberies occurred during the weekdays, in broad daylight.

The accused allegedly got in through the back door or window of the homes by cutting the screen.  He allegedly took jewelry as well as electronics.

Police executed a search warrant at the home of the accused on Sept. 20.

Marlon Davis, 22, is now facing 49 break-and-enter related charges, including 23 counts of breaking and entering.

He will appear in court on Tuesday.
