Gas prices are expected to drop 4.5 cents at midnight, industry watchdog Roger McKnight told 680News on Wednesday.
The senior petroleum adviser at En Pro said drivers will pay an average of 129.2 cents a litre at most GTA gas stations.
The price of oil was down on Wednesday morning, 680News senior business editor Mike Eppel said, but that doesn’t necessarily explain the drop at the pumps.
“The price for crude is cooling off just a little bit, back below $92 a barrel,” he said.
The price for gas peaked at $1.40 a litre in April.
