Four Seasons hotel reopens in Yorkville

The famous Four Seasons hotel reopened in Yorkville on Friday after six months of renovations.

The doors closed at the Avenue Road location back in March but reopened just around the corner on Yorkville Avenue with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon.

The new location features 259 rooms, a 30,000-square-foot luxury spa, glass-enclosed event rooms and a café – Café Boulud – and bar –dbar – operated by internationally renowned chef Daniel Boulud.

“This is a proud moment for everyone at Four Seasons – at the new hotel, at our corporate offices, and certainly at all our locations around the world,”  Katie Taylor, president and CEO of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, said in a statement.

The property also includes a few luxury condo apartments.

“Over the years, the desire to actually live at Four Seasons was often heard from our guests,” regional director of residences Valerie Faivre said.

“For a lucky few, that wish is coming true at the adjacent Four Seasons Private Residences, built by Menkes Construction Ltd. and designed by Canadian star Brian Gluckstein, with full access to all our Hotel amenities and services.”

The old hotel will be turned into the New Residences of Yorkville Plaza.
