Google has expanded its popular Street View mapping tool on Thursday to include GTA parks, trails, university campuses and zoos.
It’s part of a worldwide update, which includes more coverage not only in Canada, but also in Macau, Singapore, Sweden, the United States, Thailand, Taiwan, Italy, Great Britain, Denmark and Norway.
Over the summer, Google’s high-tech car and trike — each mounted with a panoramic camera — revisited areas in the GTA first shot in 2009 and explored new pockets that have cropped up since or were passed over the first time.
The company photographed landmarks from High Park to Canada’s Wonderland and Black Creek Pioneer Village.
Street View allows anyone online to explore streets, landmarks and natural wonders around the world through 360-degree street-level photographs.
Since Street View launched in five U.S. cities in May 2007, it has expanded to include seven continents.
