Suspect accused of stealing $380K from bank accounts

Toronto police have released security images of a suspect wanted for allegedly stealing $380,000 from bank accounts using counterfeit ID across southern Ontario.

The man is accused of impersonating numerous account holders from various financial institutions across the GTA, including Halton, Hamilton, Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo, St. Catharines, London, Peel, York and Toronto.

Officials say the accused has been able to obtain more than $380,000 from the victims’ accounts using counterfeit ID since March 2011.

Ralph Henry Sanon, 29, of no fixed address, is wanted for identity fraud and fraud.

Police believe the accused may be residing in Mississauga or Toronto.

Halton Regional Police’s fraud unit and the Toronto Police’s financial crimes unit made an appeal on YouTube for information regarding this case.
