Man faces 16 charges following a dozen robberies

A 20-year-old man is facing a slew of charges arising from a dozen robberies that occurred in the Toronto area since the beginning of the month.

Police said a man held up convenience stores and gas stations in Toronto, and in Peel and Halton regions.

According to police, the robber used a disguise and indicated that he was armed with a gun when approaching clerks and demanding money.

In one case, the suspect was spotted with a gun, police said.

Michael Barbour, 20, of no fixed address, is charged with 11 counts of robbery, four counts of disguise with intent and one count of robbery while armed with a firearm.
