Liberal leadership convention to be held at Ryerson athletic centre

The Ontario Liberals will choose their new leader inside a Toronto landmark.
The party announced on Sunday that they have chosen Ryerson’s Mattamy Athletic Centre at Maple Leaf Gardens as the location to hold their leadership convention.
The convention is being held to determine who will replace Ontario Liberal Leader Dalton McGuinty.
McGuinty announced that he was stepping down as party leader on Oct. 15 and proroguing parliament until a new leader was chosen.
The convention is scheduled for the weekend of Jan. 25, 2013.
The Mattamy Athletic Centre officially opened in the former home of the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sept.6. Loblaw Companies Inc. partnered with Ryerson for the heritage renovation.
