Police investigate after YouTube video of restaurant fight goes viral

Toronto police are investigating after a video of a fight at a downtown pho restaurant went viral.

It happened at around 3:30 a.m., Saturday at Pho Xe Lua Restaurant on Spadina Avenue.

During the altercation a female in her 20s was struck with a plate. She sustained cuts to her face and required medical attention.

There have been reports that the fight broke out over seating space in the crowded restaurant.

The video was uploaded to YouTube and has had thousands of views.

Police are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described as male, Asian, light-skinned with a muscular build, 20 to 25 years of age, about five feet, nine inches tall, clean-shaven, short black hair that is shaved on all sides. He has a multi-coloured tattoo on his left bicep.

He was seen was wearing a “SWAT” costume vest with holster, tight black v-neck T-shirt and black pants. The word “SWAT” is written in white on the back of the vest and on right chest area.
