Teen accused of Bloor-Christie sex assaults faces extra charges

The 15-year-old boy charged in a series of sex assaults in the Bloor and Christie area faces two additional counts.

The accused, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, faces two more sex assault charges relating to incidents that occurred on Aug. 18 and 23, police say.

Those are on top of the 14 counts of sexual assault and two counts of criminal harassment he already faces.

There were 16 women who came forward since Aug. 16.

Police increased the number of patrols in the area because of the assaults that began in the summer.

The youth was in court Monday, but he will return Tuesday when a date for a bail hearing will be decided.
