Countdown to 100th Grey Cup begins with festival

The countdown to the 100th Grey Cup in Toronto has begun with more than 50 events scheduled in the city over the next 10 days.
The festival, which goes until game day on Nov. 25 at Rogers Centre, includes a football film festival at Scotiabank, galas at Rogers Centre and fun zones at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and Yonge-Dundas Square.
On Friday, the Grey Cup arrives in town after finishing a journey that has taken it to more than 100 Canadian communities.
The chalice, which is aboard the five-car Grey Cup 100 Train Tour from Vancouver, will be received on Toronto soil by First Nations chief Bryan Laforme.
Laforme and CFL commissioner Mark Cohon will bring the trophy to Toronto City Hall on Friday afternoon.
Members of the public can get their photos taken with the trophy 10 a.m. -4 p.m. on Saturday when the Grey Cup 100 Train makes its final stop at the Ex. And then after that, the trophy stays hidden until a winner is declared.
