Favourite Grey Cup memories

The countdown for the 100th Grey Cup began Nov. 14 with many events being held in Toronto over 10 days.

One of the most-anticipated days was Nov. 15 when the Grey Cup trophy arrived in town after finishing a journey that has taken it to more than 100 Canadian communities.

The chalice, which was aboard the five-car Grey Cup 100 Train Tour from Vancouver, was brought to Toronto City Hall by First Nations chief Bryan Laforme and CFL commissioner Mark Cohon that afternoon and then to the Ex on Saturday for fans to check out.

With the Toronto Argonauts and the Calgary Stampeders in the final game on Nov. 25 at Rogers Centre, we invite fans to share some of their favourite past Cup memories.

Roy Fowler said the 1996 Grey Cup game in the snow in Hamilton was memorable for him.

“It was great and the Argos won,” he said on Facebook.
