Grey Cup trophy arrives at Toronto city hall

Canadian football’s most-coveted trophy, the 100-year-old Grey Cup, arrived at city hall Friday morning ahead of next week’s championship game at Rogers Centre.
The cup has been travelling across the country for the past two and a half months on a CFL train to celebrate its centennial.
Toronto Mayor Rob Ford — a well-known football fan — wasn’t on hand to receive the cup at city hall because he was in court testifying at his $6-million libel trial.
The Toronto Argonauts have a shot at hoisting the trophy on Nov. 25. The boatmen will have to beat the Montreal Alouettes this Sunday afternoon to make the final.
Another CFL semi-final happens later this Sunday afternoon between the B.C. Lions and Calgary Stampeders.
