We’ve got a way to make the first major snowfall to hit Toronto this winter a little more bearable.
We’re looking for your guess as to when we’ll get at least 5 cm of snow. If you’re right, you could win one these great prizes.
The prizes include:
- One night’s accommodation at Horseshoe Resort, in one of the newly renovated Deluxe Rooms (sleeps four), including four all-access day ski passes and four one hour ski lessons with the qualified instructors at Horseshoe’s Snow School
- An Ariens Snow Thrower, courtesy of Home Depot.
Here are the rules:
- Submit your guess as to what date we’ll get our first snowfall of at least 5 cm as measured at Pearson International Airport’s weather station and confirmed by Environment Canada
- It must be one continuous snowfall “event.” If the snow continues over the course of 2 days (i.e. starts at 10 p.m. and ends at 4 a.m.), entries submitted for both dates will be entered into the draw
- Entries must be submitted by email to news.to@citynews.ca. Entries must have “Snow Contest” and your guess in the subject line (i.e. Snow Contest Dec. 15, 2012)
- Correct submissions will be entered into random draw for one of the four prizes above
- One entry per person
Winners will be announced on air by one of our meteorologists during CityNews at Six after the first snowfall of at least 5 cm.
